Membership Explorer for ProjectWise

Users

The tool is intended for ProjectWise administrators and delegated users who need to quickly understand where a user, group, or user list appears within membership relationships.

This tool requires an active ProjectWise login and permission to read the relevant user, group, and user list data.

Problem

In larger ProjectWise environments, it is not always clear through which groups or user lists a user receives membership. Relationships can be direct or inherited through nested user lists.

Membership Explorer addresses this as a review and analysis tool. Instead of changing memberships, it focuses on reading, visualizing, and verifying the existing state.

How the application works

The user selects the source type, such as user, group, or user list. They then use the filter to find the required item and open the membership graph view.

The result is a tree view that shows both direct and inherited relationships. The graph can be filtered further, opened in a detailed view, or exported to Excel. The application is read-only and intended for reviewing the current state; it does not change memberships.
