User Management for ProjectWise

Users

The tool is intended for ProjectWise administrators and delegated users who manage global memberships across users, groups, and user lists.

This tool requires an active ProjectWise login and the permissions needed to administer users, groups, or user lists in the target environment.

Problem

As the number of users and groups grows, membership management in ProjectWise can become difficult to keep under control. Manual changes make it easy to lose context, confuse source and target items, or apply changes without a clear review step.

User Management turns this part of administration into a controlled workflow. Changes are prepared first, validated, and applied to ProjectWise only after review.

How the application works

The user first selects the source type, such as a user or user list. They then search for the required identities, select them, and choose the target, such as a group or user list.

Operations are not written to ProjectWise immediately. They are first collected as pending changes. Before writing, the user can run validation, review the result, and then confirm the operation with Apply.

After the changes are applied successfully, the lists are refreshed and the current membership state is shown. The current application supports global membership management; project-specific mode is not included.
