Access Matrix for ProjectWise

Users

The application is intended for ProjectWise administrators and delegated users who manage project team access by project, subproject, documentation stage, or discipline.

This application requires an active ProjectWise login and the permissions needed to work with users, groups, and user lists.

Problem

On large projects, user memberships can be distributed across many project-specific and discipline-specific user lists. Managing each relationship manually is time-consuming, difficult to review, and increases the risk of inconsistent access settings.

Access Matrix brings the current state and proposed changes together in a single matrix. Administrators can work within a clear project context and review every change before it is written.

How the application works

The user first selects the project context. Based on the configuration, the application loads the relevant users and user lists and displays them in a matrix divided into basic and discipline-based sections.

Selecting checkboxes or using bulk operations creates pending changes. These are not written to ProjectWise immediately: the user first validates them, reviews the result, and then confirms the operation with Apply. Once completed, the changes are reflected in the relevant ProjectWise user lists.
