Document Checker for ProjectWise

Users

The tool is intended for administrators, document controllers, and project teams that need to check ProjectWise documentation against agreed rules.

Using this tool requires an active ProjectWise session, a configured validation profile, and permission to read documents, attributes, workflow information, and the folder structure in the selected scope.

Problem

On larger projects, manually checking whether documents follow the required code, physical filename, workflow, state, documentation type, and selected attributes is difficult and time-consuming.

Document Checker turns this into a repeatable review workflow. Documents are loaded from the selected ProjectWise scope, grouped by structure, and evaluated against configured rules.

How the application works

The user first selects the project context, such as project, subproject, stage, and optionally a functional part. This selection defines the base scan scope.

After documents are loaded, the user can run validation. For each document, the tool finds the matching validation profile and evaluates rules for profile, code, filename, and other configured checks.

Results are shown in an overview with documentation-type filters and list search. For reporting, the user can select specific groups, documentation types, and validation results.

Document Checker is a review and reporting application. It does not repair documents or attributes and writes no changes back to ProjectWise. Result accuracy depends on correctly configured validation profiles, attribute mappings, workflow rules, and the selected scan scope.
